About
My work at the University Federal do Rio grande do Sul focus on the foraging strategy of livestock in the South American native pampa vegetation. The aim is to understand how livestock (cow) takes advantage of a diversified offer to reach high production levels to explain the link between management policy, vegetation structure and livestock production.
The general purpose is to reach management policies allowing both reasonable and sustainable production by maintaining rangelands in an ecological rich state. The theoretical purpose is to better understand large herbivores foraging strategies and diet composition in complex vegetation.
